Most of the time I take my proximity to the sea for granted and fail to appreciate how lucky I am to be living here. Last night though, even I managed to wake up to the fact that living here is actually quite cool. At 11:55 we put coats and hats on and at 12:00 (and about 30 seconds) legged it out to the beach, to watch some spectecular fireworks that were going off out and about.
Today we did our favourite walk along this piece of coast, stopping as usual at both the pub and English Heritage site before turning around. It was all v. pleasant, but it was clear that we were missing something........a dog. It seemed that everybody else who was out had to have an animal with them.
