Note to self

Primarily this is a note to self, but others who find themselves in the situation of being in a prayer meeting and having shock of finding themselves "led" to pray with complete passion and belief in terms that, intellectually, they may not feel comfortable with may find the following useful:

1. Remember sense of humour is an attribute of God, and we are created in his image.

2. Remember God knows what "is on our hearts" and so knows what we mean to say, even if it comes out a teensy bit wrong.

3. In event of this leading to complete Bridget Jones moment, in said prayer meeting, do try to remember that God is the good guy who we pray to, who wants positive spiritual stuff to happen and it is the Devil (& co) who are engaged in the other side of "spiritual warfare". As such we do not pray that God is the one who doesn't want good spiritual stuff to happen.

(Wish I had written this note to self 24 hours ago).
