Caught Lefties on BBC Four tonight, quite an interesting programme really which I would recommend to you, as a bit of easy listening social/political history. It is def. on the lite side, in terms of being one of these talking heads type things which ties it all together with a bit of story telling and some archive footage, but not alot of analysis. Still quite interesting none the less.
Particularly looking forward to the third programme which looks at the story of the News on Sunday, a paper which I remember we purchased when I was a teenager, (I think for most of the miniscule lifespan it had - weeks rather than years). Have to admit that my only real recollection of it was the fact that it had some particularly good cartoons in it, and on the t-shirts advertising it (Gerald Scarfe I think), but I am ready to be corrected on that one.
