Gentle Reader the above title is unfortunately very much the truth. There are times in ones life where one is convinced that they love something very deeply and there could never be a love so strong but you are tempted. This week I succumbed to that gnawing question and the other question that is there something better out there than what I have already experienced?
Just to clarify what we are speaking of on Thursday Mrs Lovely One and I dined at a local Asian restaurant. I could not go past the "flaming" ribs that come all wrapped in alfoil and are on fire. I call it the most obnoxious look at me dish in the world. Because it is pretty sectacular. My ribs were very good except out of the whole dish and the 20 or so pieces of meat only 2 contained bones. To me one of the things about ordering ribs is the tactile ripping of flesh off the bone. The alfoil looked like a flaming flamingo. It was very impressive visual and the ribs themselves would rate a 3.5 racks out of 5.
On Saturday night we then ventured out to dinner with my sister and family at Conception Harbour (not it's real name). We were looking to dine and dined at the Rib Shack (actually it's real name). The shack is not the place to go if one is looking for haute cuisine. But if you are looking for a place that looks like a takeaway but has tables and you are looking for decent ribs well this is the place for you. Mrs Lovely One and I both had a bit of a hunger on and were looking at getting a double pack. The family pack with 2 extra ribs was 1 dollar cheaper so we went for that. My sister and bro in law and one nephew also got a family pack. Man what a feed!!
The family pack came with a choice of wedgies or veges. We grabbed one of each. The veges came out on a large silver tray with baked potato and pumpkin with peas and carrots. The wedgies came on the same size tray and also came with a large bowl of sour cream, cheese and bacon. It also came with garlic bread. We went hard and at the end were left with a whole extra pack of family ribs!
It was a pretty top feed and would rate at 4 racks out of 5. A wonderful time had by all.
