It is not often on this here blog that I use the real names for various products and so forth but today shall be the exception dear friends. I didn't really blog much last week as I had a very large gig I was looking after. It was pretty cool and well organised by a committed team of professionals. I was kept busy but was not totally off the hook with craziness. One always gets one or two days where you are very close to losing it and wanting to shove the radio into someone's mouth so they can no longer speak. But overall it was actually quite fun and a good time was had by all. Part of the reason is the main organisers are not from the land of Chops but another land that Chops is familiar with and enjoys cultural exchange with quite often.
At the end of the week I was well please with myslef with the way I had handled such a large event and left everyone happy. I was completely flabbergasted when at the end of the week I was given a present!! I had never been given a present before except for the satchels that the delegates get. it was one of those little gift bags that you get with some tissue paper in. I joked and said oh look some left over stuff from some of your stands in the exhibition. they then gave me some of that product. When I pulled the tissue paper back there was no product but there was a ipod nano!!
I was overwhelmed at the generosity and just that they thought of me. The pod is pretty cool too don't get me wrong. I have always bagged the pod and chose to go with a good ol minidisc for all my portable music options. But now that I have one I can see that they are pretty cool and have ironed out the issues I bagged them for. I also did not back down on my convictions as I did not buy it!! So it was a total win win situation.
