One of the joys I have is working with mass numbers of that dreaded scourge of society "The PUBLIC". It is funny what happens to people when they are in a crowd their collective I.Q drops 50 points and they just become plain old dumb. They no longer can ask questions they just stand in front of you and look blankly at you. They can't read signs no matter how big or small they are.

We had a pretty busy show over the weekend and we set up a area with our ticket sellers with some rope and staunchions. We had nine sellers and people are hesitant to move up to an empty booth even thought the sellers are waving their hands and saying next please. The line was getting longer and more impatient so Chops comes to the rescue with his impressive control of the english language and flailing arms. I would direct people to the next available open seller. Kinda like those elctronic signs at the bank but in a more human form.

Someone said you are treating them like sheep. My reply is treating them with respect doesn't work they just stand there but if you bark directions and flail your arm like a psycho scarecrow it seems to work. People deep down become like sheep when they are in a crowd and so the answer is to treat them like sheep and they don't seem to mind.

Till Next Time Listen To Chops And He Will GUide You To Green Pastures,
