Doctors and Florists and other Handy People

One of the benefits of working at the "House of Chops" is that there are unexpected fringe benefits. There is someone in the building or whom we have contact with that can perform most tasks. Last year at one of our social club functions the crew decided to go as doctors. No need to go to one of those expensive costume joints. When you have a fully functioning Uniform Room with their own stock of white coats and endless supply of name badges. Each of us had our own Doctor name. There was Dr Dre, Dr Zuess and others. We were the hit of the party. Basically all it takes is a little imagination and knowing the right person to contact.

This point was very much proved to me this week. This week saw my six month anniversary with the lovely one. I had been thinking about it all week. Only problem was on the day I got busy and totally forgot about it. The lovely one is completely unique and not like most girls. She is not into roses, champagne and perfume. The things that automatically jump into recalcitrant male heads. I did a vox pops down stairs in admin as to what would be a good gift and where to source it. After much discussion I soon rang Rupert the House of Chops designated Florist and he hooked me up and delivered within two hours a beautiful box of flowers with some really nice lilies and gerberas. That is the sort of flowers I like cause they last longer but still look and smell good. I also discovered some nice hand made chocolates and a pretty gift box. There are definite advantages to working in the location I work in. Everything seems to be within 5 minutes of the House of Chops or available internally. So when I picked up the lovely one after her having a bad day at work. I came across as the total romantic. I did come clean and admit to the total rush and debacle of it all. But it still goes in the win column.

Til Next Time just call the in house expert,
