War of the Worlds

There are many moments in my life when I can almost look at my life from the outside and see many similiarities between myself and one or two tv characters. Many over the years have said I am very much like George Costanza from Seinfeld. From my relationship with my parents, my balding head and my success rate with the ladies. On occassions I even feel a little George like.

Recently this feeling came to the fore. The Lovely One joined me at a social club function. It did indeed feel like the worlds were colliding. Because of our role at the House of Chops everyone knows us floories. This is mainly a good thing but when you are joined by the Lovely One for the first time at a House of Chops thing everyone wants to say hello. It doesn't matter who they are guys, girls, plebs and management. Most people we walked past thought it was their right to be introduced to the Lovely One. I always feel bad for the Lovely One when this happens. Because she has a mob of people who want to be introduced and then mainly she does rarely see them again but when they do they expect her to remember who they are. It's happened a few times in several of my worlds. May it be work or church or friends they expect the Lovely One to remember their names. Thankfully I knew a few from the Lovely One's worlds before we went out. So that transition for me has been quite easy. We have the same amount of sisters but I also have the five nieces and nephes to contend with. So it really is not that easy for her to have to deal with. I have joked about drawing up flowcharts so she can udnerstand he is connected to whom.

There was one person apart from my regular crew which the Lovely One knew from Steak Club that I did really wish to introduce her to. That was Double the canteen lady. It was a very pleasant exchange of introduction. As we walked away Double was heard to remake Oh My she is beautiful very beautiful girl. My thoughts exactly.
