Been busy as always. Worked 11 days straight. Which I know people do more and longer shifts but work has been chaos. With people sick and all sorts of things happening and the printer dieing and not working for three days. We print out probably 50 pages of emails a day and we do signage so people know where to go. And we have the only printer which can do it. So here is 3 short stories of my days.
1. We had a exhibition and the client called me in a tizz because the display fridges for the exhibitors lounge were "unsightly". I am sorry but what would you me to do with a double glass door display fridge to make it asthetically pleasing? I know "fairy lights". By the way we left them there just put up some black cloth so you could not see the metal back of one of them. It was a cafe where you moved around the various areas. And shock horror you could see the back of one of the fridges.
2. For big fancy dinners the food and bev managers wear dinner suits. I saw one the other night who was wearing a different bow tie to the night before. I said "PRC why are you wearing that colour tie. It is different to last night?" He replied "It is the same colour as the level of beverage package we are serving tonight" And it did indeed match. I said but last night was a colour we don't have as a beverage package. But it was a dinner for our state leader Number One's is that why the tie was state colours. The simple reply was yes. The finest detail we go to sometimes scares me and impresses me at the same time.
3. Gentle Reader. Please do me one thing to stand out from the rest of the rabble we call humanity. Yesterday I was head down and a legs a pumping. I think I was hungry and on the way to lunch. I was stopped by a couple asking for the exhibition. I was a little miffed and asked them to follow the signs. By the way I was standing beside the sign which was 3-4 ft wide and 8 ft tall and multi coloured!!! I was so close I hit the sign gently when I told them to follow the sign.
Till Next Time,
Chops
