In my country our defense forces have these ads which are little case stories and then they say "What would you do next?". They then talk about the excellent training they offer and what exciting situations you will find yourself in. Well in the spirit of that I will give you a scenario and then you can share what you would do and I will tell you what to do as well.
We had a large ceremony with thousands of people in attendance. About ten minutes before it was to start. I got a call from the organiser saying that the M.C was vomiting, sweating profusely and complaining of chest pain with a irregular pulse.
The answer was pretty simple really. I called our first aid crew. They assessed the situation and called the ambo's. We also have two defribulators in the building. I waited and escorted the ambo's through the scrum of people outside. I then went and checked that the organiser was ok and that the plan would not fall apart. I even offered to M.C. It can't be that bad it is all scripted and written out for you. But always trying to be helpful.
I am not sure how the gentlemen went. But the hospital is very close. The ceremony went off without a hitch except running late. I don't think they even let the punters know what actually happened.
