The stage had been set for the one of the most epic battles the world has ever witnessed. It was a classic battle of good Vs evil. The battle ground was the House of Ribs (not it's real name) and as i said the table was set. In the red corner we had the undefeated Champeeeen of the World!! S-U-R-L-E-E-E!!!! Surly is not very big but she does pack quite a lot of hate and anger into a tiny package.
In the White Corner they man who puts smiles on teenagers faces for a living!! The One the Only Curate!!!
From the moment we sat down I saw that Surly was on duty. I turned to my dining companions the Lovely One, the Police State and the Curate and said this should be fun we have Surly. "Oh she can't be that bad" said the Curate. The Lovely One and I disagreed. The Curate then set himself on a course of self destruction with the following words. I will charm her with my with wit and smile and charm. We wished him good luck and set him on his merry way.
First points went to Surly when the Curate put on his best grin and put his hand up to get Suly's attention. She scowled at him a mighty scowl and said very sharply. I will be with you in a minute! The curate unperturbed but now seeing he was truly up against a mighty beacon of evil said I can see why you call her Surly.
Gentle reader I shall not bore you with the many funny incidents of the evening. But lets say that Surly took another happy go lucky scalp and crushed the Curate. She has many weapons at her disposal like rushing around, scowling when you ask for a seperate glass for your water from your coke. She also did one that has been done to us before the forgetting of the order. I think that is the you have had your money worth and time to go for you chubby. She always asks oh we forgot your order do you still want it. And like stubborn gluttons we always say smiling "Yes Please". Which is much to the chagrin of the Surly one.
At the end of the day the food was good and plentiful. We had some pleasant dinner entertainment in the form of the curate and Surly and a good time was had by all. All washed down with medicinal ice cream.
