Like a lot of my countrymen and women we have a love of Sport. It doesn't matter if we are good at it as long as the green and gold is shown loud and proud I will watch it. I may not even be overly interested as was the case last eve when I fell asleep in the middle of the Winter Olympics coverage. We will be very lucky to win a thing at the games but I am faithful.
I am not sure what i find so attractive if it's the coolness of winter or just seeing those plucky aussies have a go even though they aren't the best going round the park. I watched with pride as our little trooper came 83rd in a field of 89 in the 20km biathlon. That is a pretty brave endeavour even though yopu know you haven't got absolutely any chance of getting any jewellery at the end of the day.
I am saddened to note that Roy and H.G did not venture to these games in Torino. I still recall with delight them getting Americans to do the aussie weather in Salt Lake City. They had crazy stuff like snow in Darwin and so on. Even a suggestion I made was featured on the program. Ah good times.
When I awoke it was during the last rubber of the Davis Cup. I managed to watch a little before going back to sleep. I awoke to Joyce Meyer. Me thinks I rolled over onto the remote to change the channel. I saw the end of her program and saw a ad with a elvis invoker encrouaging me to sms a certain number so I could get a scripture sms'ed to me everyday. I am not sure if this was dreamt or real, it was more than a little surreal.
Next time I awoke it was time to get ready for work.
