I did forget to mention that one time I awoke I was watching sheepdog trials on the ABC from Tasmania. What a wonderful sport as Man and Beast take on another a Beast. The way the dog totally controls the sheep. The way the sheep get all defiant and stamp their feet and take on the dog.
One of my favourite bits is the way the farmer communicates with the dog. Some use whistles and some use language. I have no idea what the calls mean but some of my favourites are the often called get behind. And my personal favourite one guy used was pull your head in. It is one of my favourite phrases in the Australian vernacular but to hear it in this sporting context is most superb.
