I am sorry but today's blog will not be the usual journey into the amazing adventures of Chops. But it is a humble attempt to give God the praise he deserves for the many mercies and showings of grace in our lives in these days. Here are the things I wish to praise God for at the moment:

* The survival of the Lovely One's youngest sister in a pretty bad car accident. We got the call just as we were leaving the police State's home town. We were about to go the back way to the Lovely One's parents place when Papa Lovely One called and said to get to the Keith Urban Memorial Hospital which was a couple of hours drive away. That was all the detail we knew. God's peace came in a pretty strong way which helped. The sisters car is now pretty much half the car it once was after playing tag with a 4WD. Please continue to pray for Tonite (not her real name) as she is very sore, but without serious injury, and now also without a car.

* Travelling mercies as several vehicles made the dash to the Keith Urban Memorial Hospital while having no idea as to how bad the injuries were.

* The bonds of friendship. The Lovely One and I ventured yesterday to Scene Central (not it's real name) a music festival where it was very cool to catch up with lots of people and have a really nice dinner with friends. It was cool as I met several people I had not seen in years and they did not know that I was married and such. It was a little scary as one or two people said "I heard you were here" I said from whom? They replied with no I could hear your distinctive voice. It is a little hard to hide when one is as dashing and stand outish as is Herr Chops.

* The body of Christ. We have had the pleasure of worshipping at the Lovely One's home Church and it is a different tradition to my own. But I feel the love of the community and saw their love poured out as they were concerned about Tonite's wellbeing - some even made cards and dropped them around. They also put on a pretty tops bbq for Easter Sunday Brekky.

* God's Love and Sacriface. This Easter once again I am very clearly reminded of the importance of Easter and it has touched me. That God could have such care and concern and act out his love so forcefully on us who turned our backs on him.

* The little things that we take for granted like political security and running water and plenty of food.

* I am continually blessed by the love and care and concern from my wife. She is a truly amazing lady and I love her deeply

Till Next Time I Am Sure You Have Something To Be Thankful For,

Chops
