I was rushing in to start my duties at the House of Chops and had laundered my pants the day before and needed new trousers. As gross as it sounds we don't get given new pants every day and are very strongly encouraged to get at least two days out of our dacks.
I was rushing through and asked for my regular size. The lovely Dave (not her real name) whom I have known when she started when I did and she was only 16 gave me my pants. I went and got changed. These strides seems different to my regulars. They had smaller pockets, they only had one button on the front, the zipper appeared to do up from the other side and I had more room around the hips and buttocks area.
This all had me strangely perplexed and thinking have they given me girls pants? I was so busy that I never got the chance till 6 hours later when I went to the little Chops room and saw on the tag that these were size 16's and I am normally a 7r (not sure what system our sizing works on). On one of my journey's in the building I happened to walk past the uniform room and asked the Candle Stick Maker (not her real name) if these indeed were girl's pants.
She said "oh my goodness they indeed are". She then offered to swap and I said well they are not that uncomfortable and I will just swap them at the end of the day which is only an hour and a half away.
