Yes, tomorrow FW and I are off to see the great Bruce Stringbean at the Millenium Stadium. After 20 years of waiting I finally get to see him. There is also plenty of rugby and football on this weekend as well and FW is not working.

I also need to start thinking about my sermon for the "little chapel down the hill" that I have to do in 2 weeks. I know what'll happen though - I'll think and think and get ideas and then, when I write it, it will be totally different.

Oh!! In case you that I'd forgotten.....

David Davies resigning to fight a by-election on the erosion of our civil liberties? COMPLETE PRAT!!!!

History Today :

323 BC - Alexandra the Great dies of a mysterious illness in Babylon. This leads to a 42 year battle over his succession.

313 AD - The 'Edict of Milan' is proclaimed ending the persecution of the Christians in the Roman Empire.

1842 : Queen Victoria becomes the first British monarch to travel by train, between Slough and Paddington. Her journey was delayed by "Oiks" on the line - alledgedly!!!

1944 - The first V1 "flying boms" strike London - six die in Bethnal Green. Does that mean bombs or people?

Today is also the Saint's Day of Anthony of Padua - patron saint of Lost Things. He must have had a very large sofa...
