I'd just like to say that I officially hate Christmas. Not the Christ bit but the rest of the assorted things, such as shopping, being forcibly made to appear happy and Christmas adverts and songs.
I'm looking forward to the weekend. Sport Hater is talking part in her annual Bethlehem Walk. Unfortunately this does not involve a trek across the wilds of the Middle East. I had suggested it but she chose to ignore my contribution. I'd even hired the suicide bombers.....
This year she's taking my mum with her.
What will I do while abandoned, yet again? Well, there's the flat to sort ready for next Saturday's floor laying in the hallway. I have an appointment to visit Starbucks with my sis. A chance for us to chat about things we can't discuss in front of others, especially spouses. They don't like us moaning about them while they're present, for some reason.
Then there is bound to be sport somewhere on Sky in the afternoon. What a perfect way to relax.....
In addition I have to prepare another standby sermon for Christmas. Rev Chugabug's Mother in Law is very ill and they have been told to expect a major deterioration in the next 4 weeks. She has gangarene and has elected not to have part of her leg amputated but to stop fighting. Therefore I may have to give the Christmas or New Year's morning message in her place.
I can't believe how little time is remaining to organise things. Not shopping but work and flat tidying.
Sport Hater's away Saturday. We have church on Sunday morning plus our church meeting for the election of officers in the afternoon. Next week is floor laying and the following weekend we're in London for a charity ball in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Which reminds me I need to get my Tux measuring done tomorrow morning.....
Me married and now wearing a tux in one year? Oh, how the mighty have fallen!!!!
