Happy New Year

Well the good news is that FW has now returned home and that her mum moved her right leg on Friday. The latter is, of course, the more important of the two. We now need to begin rearranging our lives to begin coping with greater visitations to the in-laws and fitting that into our normal life.

Anyone who knows us knows that our life would never be described as normal...

It is good that we've had so much support from our families and friends at this time. Coming home on Saturday to "Thinking of You" cards was a great lift. I've never been a great one for things like that but it is good to know that people are thinking about us.

In other news....

West Ham have had a bad Christmas. My joyful shouts at about 13:50 this afternoon turned to moans of dispair as Chelsea went on to beat us. 1 point in 12 now. Right now Pontypool are playing Cross Keys so I maybe furher downhearted by 5 o'clock.

I haven't been to chapel since Christmas Day. We overslept yesterday morning. It must have been the fireworks and clanging saucepans that kept us awake over New Year that caused that.

I have made a resolution that I will carry on being my normal humourous self as much as possible in the next 12 months. Lord help the rest of civilisation. I have started as I mean to go on, not here though.

I sense that 2006 could be as momentous as 2005 was. Hopefully I won't be getting married again this year. However, if Meg Ryan is reading this, I could be available for the right offer.....
