The news update on FW's mum is that the doctor is very pleased with her progress. She is expected to be in hospital for the ext 3 months but they are hopeful that she will continue to regain some useage of her affected areas.
The major story on the local news over the last few days concerns the kidnapping and abouse of a 3 year old child. It appears that the 3 suspects arrested come from a bale hostel just down the road from our flat.
As you can imagine there is much local consternation that such people live among us. People are already being interviewed with the usual knee jerk responses regarding the unsuitablitiy of housing released prisioners in local communities. Yet where else will they go? If not here, where else?
The majority of ex-cons will go to live with their families but where can others go? Is it fair to put everyone into one homogenous category and persecute them equally? How does anyone know if a released prisioner is truly rehabiltated?
Only God can see into a man's heart and know what is there.
