Great to be able to watch reruns of Frasier on satellite. Murdoch is said to be an evil, power hungry. monopolistic Australian/American tyrant - this is what I have heard and have been advised by my lawyers that I need to say that this is not a personal view but an alledged statement of fact that I cannot be sued for.
However Sky has provided us with the chance to see many hours of quality TV. Not just reruns but films and documentaries. Where else could I watch 4 hours of documentaries on 9/11 in one day? There are even channels dedicated to the spread of the Word... some are of dubious quality and theological worth - just like normal TV then!
This working at home has some benefits. Not just the obvious one of spending more time with FW.
Yet for all the good bits you get the rest....
Celebrity Big Brother
UK Style TV
Babecast
Babestation
Playboy
I suppose that the purveyors of such dross would say that they are only filling a demand from the public. Yet where does filling a demand and pedalling rubbish end? Could it be that we could use this excuse for anything?
However where does censorship end and free speech take over? Is free speech used as an excuse for people to say anything they want? Do we as Christians have a right to deny people what they want just because of our beliefs?
