Have been feeling like death warmed up for the last few days. Have definitely been ill but trying not to live up to the martyred male image portrayed by the female section of the world.
Instead of visiting a friend's party I've decided that staying at home will do me more good. The worse thing is I was really looking forward to going. Its not often that you get to see someone finally start to look younger than they are..... (or not!!!)
So while everyone else is watching films of 1976, I'll be celebrating by watching Top Gear reruns; classic 30's gangster movies; episodes of Over There and various other things I've missed out on. In other words, exactly the same as what I always do when I'm ill.
Some things to leave you with:
1. Overheard in the early hours of this morning - "Sleazey.... that makes me happy"
2. Sometimes a man is actually unwell and feeling like blurrrrrrgggghhhh...
3. It may not have been just the wife's illness I caught. Some of my friends have had exactly what I've had and it was worse. Just ask the wife.
