Rest & Relaxation

The weekend was one that could best be described as hectic.

Friday night saw a visit from my best friend. He stayed until 01:30hrs on Saturday morning. This was a good and bad thing. It was a good thing that we were there to help him get some things off his chest. It was bad as we had to be up at 08:00hrs.

Saturday saw the Church Awayday that I'd organised to carry on with our review of where the church is and where we'd like it to be. We had a surprisingly good turnout of 17 people. That represents almost half our usual congregation and we had over 50% of our members there. This was a better response than we could have hoped for.

Everyone seemed to be able to get something positive from the day and we received a lot of good ideas and responses. We now have a clearer picture of what people want and expect. No we need to analyse the information in conjunction with the surveys that people had already completed.

Saturday evening, after a well earned afternoon nap, saw FW and I retire to a local eatery for a meal out. We'll have to stop going here as the food and service seems to be consistently poor. It was half empty and we still had to wait a long time to get served and the food wasn't that good at all.

Sunday saw a return to normality. Church in the morning and Youth in the afternoon. Then relaxing evening doing almost nothing at all.

I really am looking forward to the next few weekends as we have very little planned, other than visiting friends or not doing anything at all.
