Good Day, Bad Day

Spent yesterday visiting friends in Swansea. Had a great time with some annoyances as well.

We planned to visit an unwell British Standard at one of the local hospitals. Upon arrival, after paying for parking, we began the long, tiring walk to the ward. Once we got there we saw lots of elderly ladies but no sign of a young woman lying in bed using power tools. When we asked a friendly nurse who was doing typical nursie things - sitting down chatting to another nurse - we were told that our friend had been evicted the previous day.

It turned out that the news had not spread and people we talked to assumed that we already knew. Things turned out well as we were able to visit her at home.

After a very enjoyable meal with some good friends we meandered home. After about 4 miles we came to a shuddering stop. My poor car had decided that enough was enough. Knowing that I was transferring my affections to another she decided that she wante do die rather than move to a less loving owner.

Thanks to the RAC we were able to resume our journey in a very environmentally friendly way, on the back of a lorry. We final arrived home at half past midnight.

Now I have to decide what to do with my poor car...
