The weekend was spent relaxing with family and friends.
We had a visit from Best Man on Friday night. Its always good to catch up and find out what's going on. There's also the chance of intelligent conversation about a variety of topics, always a good thing for me. However he is rather run down with life and had FW in tears of frustration that there was nothing she could do to help. Maybe all we can do is pray for him and be there. He may not believe that this could help but maybe prayer will be answered, there's never a guarantee that it will be.
Saturday was spent having a hair cut, a Bratwurst from an itinterant Bratwurst stall in the Continental market and coffee with Sad Sister at Starbucks. We then all took the Troublesome Trucks out to see Thomas The Tank Engine in the Forest of Dean. It was also there first chance to ride in T&E's new car.
This was great for me as well. My head has turned a nice reddy brown colour and I was entertained with renditions of:
"This car is faster than my dad's."
"We're first aren't we?" and,
"Top speed. Top speed."
I also had Shouty Boy giving me directions to Cribbs Causeway afterwards.
Sunday saw FW being welcomed into membership at the chapel. She was interviewed by Pastor Chugabug about her life etc. This led to her speaking in a Dorset accent, which went down well, and a Monty Python voice, that didn't. There also seemed to be a trick questions that asked, roughly, "What do you intend doing in the church?"
The rest of Sunday was spent relaxing and me falling asleep.
