Today saw me become a murderer; technically it would be manslaughter.
I was driving from my home away from home to work. I was full of the joys of a frosty morning and the anticipation of going home in the afternoon. So I was barreling down the road at a steady 60 mph. At the side of the road was a dead pheasant.
Suddenly a brown pheasant broke cover and ran across the road. It was to late to stop so I tried to slow and swerve but the pheasant decided that following the direction of the car was more intelligent. BANG!!!! Loud crunch as I ran over it. Looking in the mirror I saw a large bloom of feathers and little else.
Having seen plenty of dead pheasants, partridges, foxes and badgers at the roadside over the last 3 years I suppose the odds finally fell against me.
To address the title. I can confirm that at 19:40 this evening I saw my first Christmas advert. Yes, Asda have started already. Can't anyone wait until December?
