I had a quiet weekend this week.

Saturday was spent relaxing at home. I had an afternoon of sport, ranging from Liverpool v Chelsea, to all 3 European Rugby matches. First Wife was workingfor the day. I did try to do some things round the house but couldn't find the necessary screws etc. I'll have to pick some up this week. In the evening we had a very loud surprise. We had a few bursts of very loud thunder right over our heads, followed by very heavy rain. About 10 minutes later and it had stopped.

FW also worked for 2 hours on Sunday morning. I decided to have a Sunday off and just bought the paper and did a little shoppong for some essentials at the local Spar. After lunch we went for a walk in the local area, away from where FW had been before. She was surprised that the "real" countryside was just up the hill from our house. Suddenly you're surrounded by fields full of sheep.

The walk was a little spoilt by a hail shower and some local motorcyclists but was still very enjoyable. Next time we hope to find out where our lane ends.

This morning we were greeted by a snow shower. It didn't last long. However on my drive to work I was greeted with the sight of snow on the hill and mountainsides around Abergavenny.
