Yes, we do eat really, really, really big food. However, only when we have visitors. The mirror is there so that my wife can admire herself before going out. I think its a little too narrow for her hair though ;-)

JTL, I think we'd be happy to carry out alterations on the Stately Pile. Never been to Glasgow and we can fly from Cardiff very cheaply. However, we'd have to off-set our emissions to compensate.

Last night was a fun night. I had driven the 100 miles up to work and encountered fog and mist. Being the good driver I am I put my headlights on. Therefore lights pop-up from the front; when switched off the lights go down. I left the office at 7 o'clock to go back to my weekday digs. Unfortunately I'd left the sidelights on. The rear lights were so coated in mud and salt that they hadn't shown as being lit when I left the car; either is there an audible warning to advise you when you open the door.

So I phone a taxi company. To get me the 10 miles home and back in the morning they wanted £50. It is not good living in a rural area in the UK at night. A night in the local pub would be £45 with a free breakfast. Mmmmm wonder which I did?

This morning I took the battery off and took it to the local car parts shop. This would need to be replaced by one from the main dealer as it is a "special" battery. The terminals are on opposite sides to all others and it's a lot smaller. However they have taken it off me to recharge it, work says it would be a health and safety problem to recharge it there.

The best news is that I'll be going home to Wales tomight. With 4-6 inches of snow forecast I may not otherwise get home.
