After months of thought and prayer I've decided that the time has come to leave my little chapel. Its been an accumulation of things that has led to this. The main one being my dissatisfaction with Pastor Chugabug.
As a preacher she is very good, her sermons are usually thoughtful and make you think. However I've found over the last 2-3 months that I've spent more time reading my bible than paying attention. I think it's partly down to being told, by her, that she was starting to recycle her sermons.
The fact that we now live 15 miles away has also played a big part in things. On Sundays when we do youth in the afternoon we're driving 60 miles there and back. Doing this we're losing every other Sunday. Working away 4 days a week means that any time together is even more precious. So, with the agreement of Mrs T&E, we're going to start looking for a chapel nearer to home. I honestly think that this is what "Him upstairs" wants as well.
It means the end of 30 years of worship there but life has to change for us to progress.
