Never Hunt Large Dangerous Prey

For those who didn't know....

Che decided to live up to his billing as "The Mighty Hunter" yesterday. When I left for work his brother had ventured under FW's car and, as I was topping mine up with oil, ran under mine. However as soon as I dropped the bonnet he ran off and then stood on the bank in our garden, with Che, watching me.

After arriving at work, and settling in, FW rang. The cats had been out exploring. Suddenly Lima appeared through the patio door with a bottle brush tail. Che was seen limping up the steps with a frightened look on his face and only using 3 of his legs. It appears that he had decided to bring a new present for us. Unfortunately it looks like the prey came off far better.

FW had to take him to the vet. He had damaged his leg, hip and pelvis and they were worried that he'd also damaged his bowel and bladder. Sad Sister arrived with Shouty Boy and his friend in tow. FW was visibly upset, understandably, so Shouty decided to show typical male empathy.

"Don't worry. You've still got 2 others..."

So yesterday afternoon Che had an opeartion to repair as much of the damage as they could and then spent the night under observation to check that he was functioning properly. The good news is that it looks as those he has survived his encounter.

The prey he'd hunted??????
