Mr Hankey The Christmas......

I didn't realise until yesterday that we'd be away when the elections to the National Assembly take place. As much as I hate this additional teir of local government I still feel the need to exercise my democratic privilege. However this time I'm going to get my sister to exercise it for me.

At least I know I can trust her to do this for me and vote the way I want. I was panicing at the thought of not being able to vote. The only time I've missed voting was in 1997 and only because I didn't want any of the parties in power, even my normal choice of party. I must admit that, seeing the state of the country at the moment, I greatly regret this.

In other news:

Last night we met Mr Hankey, no not the Christmas one, but an evangelist who is moving to our area to begin a church plant on our estate. We've be hearing his name everywhere we've gone since moving here and thought it best to meet him and his wife.

I must say that we all got on very well and we're looking forward to helping them in their work. He is rather famous for starting the Youth Bus that visits the St Mellons estate in Cardiff and provides somewhere for the local youth to meet and talk. He's also a member of the Inspire team as well, which is another plus point.

We believe that God put us in this area for a reason and that we're now discovering what that reason is.

We're also looking forward to visiting Swansea on Saturday for the Tong Leng quiz night. I forsee people attempting to part me from my hard earned (sorry that should read hardly earned) money. I've been swatting up on eveything that could possibly be asked. Well except for things I have no interest in, like gossip, celebrities etc
