Yesterday was the first really sunny day for weeks. We spent it in the company of the Troublesome Trucks, Popsy and Brother in Law (formerly Baldy Man) at the Air Day at RNAS Yeovilton in South Devon. Suffice it to say that I am now looking like a lobster.
It was a great day out though. We were delayed arriving as the last 30 miles took us over an hour, due to traffic. That said it did provide us with a great sight on the last stretch.
Not only were the Red Arrows doing their part of the display but, as we passed through the last village, we had the sight of one of their Hawks flying between the gaps inbetween two of the houses. It was a truly remarkable sight to behold.
The day ended with a full-on Commado assault against a force of "terrorists". Lots of loud booms and low fying helicopters, Sea Hawks and Sea Harriers.
Well I'd better go as I need to collect Best Man for a visit.
