Apologies for lack of updates but the wireless card on my laptop has been playing up and I've had no access to the internet via it; plus I've been to busy to walk into the backroom to use the desktop until now.
On Friday night we went to the Troublesome Trucks school Hogroast. This is something unique for me as I hate pork. I'll eat bacon, ham, salami or sausages but not pork on its own. So I spent the evening helping out behind the bar. Baring in mind I was driving this was the best place to be. Yet I really enjoyed it.
There was one young lad there who really brightened up the night; I'll call him Nemesis. Why? Well he is Shouty Boy's arch villain. He is the product of a broken home and can be a bit of a handful. To give you an example, at one point he took most of the takings from the bar and tried to run-off. He didn't make it out the door as I caught him and proceeded to tickle him into submission. He tried this twice.
A little later he had a handbrush and was cleaning the kitchen we were using as the bar. We just decided that he was looking for attention and did whatever it took to get it. When you paid attention he was as nice as anyother young 6 y/o kid.
Shortly after we gave him a can of diet coke as a reward for helping. He took it outside and gave it to one of the men to open. So the guy gave him his can of Strongbow to hold. As the guy turned away Nemesis looked up and saw he wasn't paying attention. Took a quick shifty around and then took a mouthful of 'Bow. I had to stop myself laughing out loud. This from a 6 y/o....
Yesterday Dith shopsat for a friend from Chapel and I stayed at home. After picking her up we went carhunting for a replacement motor now that her's has gone phut. We think we've found one that ticked all the right boxes for her - it has 4 wheels, aircon, power steering and electric windows. Then in the evening we went out for a drive and a pint at a country pub.
Today has been mainly non eventful. We went to chapel and I've been trying to shrug the feeling of tiredness I've had all weekend.
Well back to work tomorrow.
