I'm looking forward to a nice weekend of doing very little. We're off to a friend's for lunch on Sunday, after chapel, but that is our only plan for this weekend.
Hopefully I'll be able to start building the baseboard for the Troublesome Trucks tomorrow. Then, when they come back, we'll be able to begin track laying and get it up and running for them. At last they'll have something they can work on and play with.
Today I had my chat with my new boss to clear a few things up. That went well so we know what we're expecting of each other from now on. I still don't know what to think of him. He doesn't seem to listen to everything you say. This comes over when he begins to answer a question but seems to be confused as to what's been said.
We also found out that the merger has now gone through and we are no longer owned by Americans. We now belong to a British private equity company with our corporate headquarters split between Castle Donnington, Amsterdam and Houston. Who knows why?
