The Weekend

Saturday saw us make the trek to Birmingham. We took Shouty Boy to his first real football match. It was also FW's first one as well. The occasion was a little odd as I could only get tickets in with the home supporters, not a great think when you support the opposition and are surrounded by several thousand mildly hostile people. However Shouty seemed to enjoy it and tried to pay attention as much as possible.

I have promised that I'll take FW to a West Ham home game as penance for where we had to sit. Hopefully that'll help her to get the true atmosphere of a match.

We also managed to call in on Daughter of the King for a quick visit. Many thanks for the lovely lunch. It's always good to catch up with friends, even ifd they're the wife's ;-)

Thankfully we missed the appaling England win but did listen to the NZ v France match and get home in time for the seceond half - wish I hadn't though. I feel sorry for all our Antipodean friends. One question though - why, why, why?

The Terry Wogan show brought us the following consumer updates from Down Under this morning:

All Black Bras - Great support but no cups.

Ikea Sydney are now offering a new Flattened Pack range.

As a Welshman I feel able to share their pain. All that's left to say is:

C'mon Argentina!!

C'mon you Boks!!
