Relax Don't Do It

It has been a very relaxing weekend.

Friday night was spent in the company of Mixer Man, an old friend I used to work with. We'd regularly meet up once or twice a week after work to shoot the breeze and share a pint. We hadn't seen each other for a few months so it was great to catch up again.

Saturday was spent at the rugby watching Pooler win yet another match. It wasn't a great victory but it was hard faught in very wet conditions. We won 36-13 but it was a game where we never felt that we were safely in control of things. How bad were the conditions? Well, just before half time I decided to wander over to the resident burger van to get some tea for us.

As I walked over it started to rain. When I get to the van and ordered the teas the heavens opened with a mighty downpour and hail. I decided not to venture forth and bought myself a burger to consume while I waited. As the rain eased I walked, quickly, back to the stand.

In the evening Best Man came over for an evening of witless repartee and wine.

Today we had our acceptance to fellowship in our new chapel. It was great to feel so welcomed as members by the fellowship. We felt part of the family before but we're even more so now. Afterwards we took Best Man out for lunch.
