Following on from the Zep Reunion on Moday today saw an even bigger splash in the entertainment world - the Troublesome Trucks' School Plays; starring Stroppy & Shouty.
Shouty's was in the morning and was a production called The Very Hopeless Camel; Shouty was one of the Wise Men. It followed the story of the Lead Camel in the Wise Men's covoy. It appears that he had an early version of Dithnav and couldn't find his way from the camel house to the door without getting lost.
The camel led everyone a merry dance from somewhere to a palace before finally arriving at a stable to find a special baby lying in a manger. For me the highlight was watching Shouty Boy move his eyes in a very shifty way that made me giggle and the way in which the Wise Men looked all around them for the baby.
We then colleted Sad Sister and went to a favoured hostelry for lunch. If you'd tried their Steak and Kidney pudding you'd know why....
After lunch was the Junior's panto. This year we were treated to Puss in Boots. For some reason this puss was not ginger and did not speak with a Spanish accent. However, there was an Ogre but he was short and didn't speak in a Scottish accent. I have therefore decided to sue the school for emotional damage infilcted by the promise of a Shrek style panto that was denied me.
Stroppy Boy was a Crowd member - most of the lead roles went to Year 6 kids as it was their final panto - BOO!!
