Swirling Feathers

To stay on my hunting theme I thought that you'd best know of the suprise that awaited us on Monday evening.

There we were quietly watching The Fixer on ITV - it's about the only thing on at 9 on a Monday - and enjoying the idea of a hitman with principles. FW decided that she'd go into the hall for some reason, possibly to make a cuppa. Then there was a call to "come and look at this".

The hall was full of feathers and there was Sherpa, with a large bird, outside the door to the backroom. As FW took care of the still breathing bird I began to sweep the feathers up. Feeling satisfied with my performance I went upstairs to find even more feathers littering the floor of the bedroom.

There was Sherpa looking under the bed, in the wardrobe, and anywhere else he could find, in search of his plaything. Then he's down stairs pawing at the door to the backroom trying to get in.

Unfortunately the bird was dead by the time we woke up yesterday morning. Che has been looking for it - he was outside the patio door shouting to me to let him in their this morning, as I ironed my shirt.

After Louis Theroux programme we've now had the benefit of a hunter in our house. I must say that it is much tidier if you hunt on a game farm rather than in your own house.
