My phone rang, daughter calling to say there were no arrangements to bring students home from there college trip. I mentally lined the organisers up for execution - who plans and provides outward transport, but not the return journey. Cut short the preparation time for tonights meeting to drive the 10 mile round journey through rushhour.
Chips on the hoof and back on the road 20 mile trip to my meeting - no lights in the window, everything locked up. Phoned TheMan, answerphone switched off, left message. 20 miles home, check email, date correct.
