Bean and beans...

Thanks to Karin for pointing out my inconsistencies! Bean, aka H, is growing, much like the beans and peas (and everything else) in the garden. It's the rain that's doing it for the plants, not sure what makes Bean grow so much but she is shooting up the centiles weightwise at the moment which is excellent. We are looking forward to the next appointment in September when they will measure her length and we can find out if she's still destined to be the shortie of the family or whether the genes are kicking in (I'm not tallgirl for nothing you know).

Unfortunately she is still filling the nappies, with diarrhoea at the moment, and (no good for my green credentials, this) I am somewhat looking forward to my holiday from washable nappies, it being impossible to wash them in the middle of a racecourse (see next paragraph). I love my 'real' nappies (does that make disposables 'unreal', or 'surreal' even?) but trying to get runny poo off them is one of my least favourite jobs, especially as the toilet requires cleaning each time afterwards too. Yuuukk, but we do have a really clean loo.

We are heading off in the direction of Greenbelt tomorrow (we must be mad camping with an 8 month old, but will it be better or worse than being pregnant, which I was this time last year?), so if you're there we may see you - we'll be one of the many sets of harrassed parents pushing a small but noisy one through what might well be tonnes of mud. Do they do wellies for pushchairs? or mudflaps? This could be interesting...
