Mis-understanding?

I had the interesting and enlightening experience yesterday, of being present when people of another country were praying for my country. This was when I was at a prayer meeting in Scotland, where the majority were Scottish (with one Irish person,) and they were praying for England, and I was the only English person present. For those who think England and Scotland are similar they are in some ways, but very unalike in other ways. As people were praying about England, I realised that if someone had asked me to list attitudes within England to pray for I wouldn’t have picked any of the issues that were prayed for. This set me thinking how often do we think we know what to pray, and that we are being sensitive to peoples feelings, when actually we are totally wrong?
