Having blogged for a couple of weeks, mainly because nothing happens here! My brain is refusing to think other than when it is studying (and even then it's not very keen.) At the moment I am trying to study for an essay. I know what I am being asked to do will get me into good habits, but it really isn't the way my brain works. We've been asked before we write the essay to e-mail the statement that we have decided to defend, with a list of what books/ articles we will be using and how in the essay. When I write essay I like to think of all the information I have as being a lump of clay on a potters wheel, you know basically what you are aiming for but there maybe surprises. It feels like most people (and this is the way that it feels like essays "should" be done) assemble all the building blocks, then draw out a plan and start building. I really try to work like this but I want to just chuck it on the wheel, and watch as the creation grows.
