Last day of the 7 virtues blog challenge. I've enjoyed reading others flash fiction (but some of the sites won't let me cooment.) Looking forward to the next challenge.
Rose waited patiently in the school hall. She longed to be first in the queue, to get to the serving hatch before the chips were all gone. No matter how hard she tried she couldn’t stop the bigger children, and they were all bigger than her, from pushing her out the way, from tormenting her. Sadly she resigned herself to another day at the back of the queue, to eating the let overs. As she fought back the tears, a new teacher walked in, and opened a new serving hatch, the end of the line had become the beginning.
