I’m sorry this is a complete rant but I need to get it out of my system! In September I will become a social work student. This means I need to be on the SSSC register. This is fine, due to my job I am already on it, but I need to be on a different part, I thought It would be a simple process to change the part I am on, but no I have to start the application from scratch. Unless I am on this register I cannot go on practice etc. Part of the registration process involves the new p and g scheme (a bit like disclosure form but different!) this also is fine, but involves a long form. For reasons I don’t understand I have to fill out an identical form for the university so that they know I have no convictions etc. Surely there must be a way that I don’t have to fill out two identical forms so that one can then tell the other that they got the same results!! I hate paperwork at the best of times, but this just feels so completely pointless!
