Safari

On Friday for the first time ever I went to a Safari park. (I’d been to zoo’s occasionally but not a Safari park.) This set me thinking. It’s a pale imitation of a real Safari. While I may get to go on Safari, it is very unlikely, so is it better to say, “that is something I won’t experience, going to a Safari park is second best, and I don’t want to experience second best.” Or to see it as a different alternative, and that it is not second best, it’s just what is available within my life, so enjoy it and make the most of it? This is a question which I sometimes wonder about in certain situations in life. Miss out totally, because experiencing the “safari park” option will just remind me what I’m missing out on, or embrace the positives of the safari park experience (for example you know where the animals are, and you are going to see them,) and see it as an alternative not a second best.
