The recent student protests have set me thinking. Does protesting actually make any difference? I’m just feeling very disillusioned, looking back on past protests, and this current round of protests (not just about higher education) I’m having difficulty seeing how they make any difference. Equally it feels that politicians will say whatever is needed to get elected then do whatever they like. Can anything I do actually influence anything?
In other news those who read this blog regularly will know that I was taking part in NaNoWriMo, well I made it to 50000 in November.
The cold has been dominating my world recently, the heating isn’t working properly, we’ve had a burst pipe, and I had an unexpected night with friends thanks to the snow chaos.
