As you can see from my previous blog entries I have been thinking about community, and what it means to read the bible as a community. I have since read Mark 2, where I was stuck that Jesus tells the paralytic man that he was healed because of his faith. But when we read the story it is the friends who have the faith to do what ever it takes to get the man to Jesus. What does this say about our view of faith? In this setting the community, seems to be interchangeable with personal as to who has faith. Does this have something to say to us. Should we "own" our faith but at the same time "own" others faith to support them when they can't. What would this look like?
