I should be asleep

But as the more astute of you may have noticed, I'm not. Well, I might be asleep while you're reading it, but I'm definitely awake while I'm typing it. I've just got home from an evening out and have one of those "I should go to bed but I feel really awake now and need to expend some energy first" things going on. As well as one of those "I've got the munchies but there's nothing in the house that I want to eat" things.

So much has happened today, I thought I'd just share some brief highlights:

I slept until 10:00 this morning. I would have lied in a bit longer, had I not had to rush off and get my dad a birthday card and put it in the post to reach him for Monday.

I went to get my hair cut and found that one of my many former housemates was arriving for an appointment just as I was leaving. So we said hello, and caught up a bit. (There was also another incident at the hairdresser's, which I'll recount to you later.)

I watched half a rugby match where England played quite well and Wales were fairly dismal, and then watched another half where Wales played very well and England were particularly dismal.

This evening a big crowd of us went out to The Yardbird, a jazz club (mmmmm... nice) in town which has quite funky bands playing. As well as the main bunch of us, which was largely people from our cell group, I also ran into the aforementioned ex-housemate, plus another crowd with several people I knew... including the mystery girl I wrote that open letter to a couple of weeks ago, where I thought I'd somehow upset or offended her. It seems everything's fine, we're still friends and keeping in touch. Huzzah.

And now I'm starting to feel tired and cold, so I'm off to a nice warm bed. Tomorrow... erm, I mean later today, I shall be going to church before going out for a carvery lunch with my housemates. Hope you're having some good times this weekend as well. Night night.
