OK, quick update on the vague situation from the other night - it came up in conversation with the person at the centre of it this afternoon, so I bit the bullet and said what had to be aid in the nicest possible way I could. They seem to have understood, and I don't think they're going to take it peronally against me or anyone else involved, which is a relief, as it's much more an issue of people just having different ways of seeing and doing things, and all of us having to learn to bear with each other in that. So, hopefully all sorted now - praise the Lord.
And, what's more, I had a surreal and confusing evening yesterday, but God seems to have made me think about it a bit through what I had to say to my friend - I think some of it also needs to be applied to me in this situation. So I'll have to think and pray that through, but it's good to have an idea where to start from sorting all this out.
There - that's cleared up all the confusion, no doubt. Nothing ambiguous now, eh?
Oh, and while I'm here, thanks to T&E and Ken for filling me in on the context and other verses of 'Tipperary', now it makes a lot more sense. And next time I see my former colleague, I'll set him straight...
