Hello, and happy Easter. It hasn't really felt like Easter for me, as this weekend was Big Wedding Weekend. Rather than another one of my long-winded breakdowns of events, however, I though this time I'd try something different. So here is a condensed version; a few things that I've discovered/remembered/realised over the last three days:
- I'm more independent than I thought.
- I'm less mature than I thought.
- One of my friends is very, very intuitive.
- Nothing polarises an audience like a stream of incontinence jokes (if you'll pardon the expression).
- A Vauxhall Corsa can do at least 35 miles after the petrol gauge has dipped into the "empty" symbol.
- It is possible for an Englishman, a Scotsman and a Welshman to walk into a bar without any hilarious consequences.
- On a practical level, I have learned the correct way to twirl a lady when dancing.
- Everything costs too much.
- I'm a convincing bluffer.
- Everybody loves a baby wandering aimlessly onto the dancefloor.
- Getting our shower fixed shouldn't be as big a problem as I thought it would be.
- Somebody I'd considered to be rather a pillock, actually isn't that bad after all.
- Americans are greatly amused by the English pronunciation of "squirrel".
- Sky News is quite dull.
- It is probably too late to do something I should have done about six months ago.
- I need more sleep.
So, now that that's all over, back to normal. Or as normal as it gets around here, anyway.
