Ten things I could really do with - update

Well, here I am, nearly a week on from that list of things I really wanted, and how many have I achieved?

1. Well, I've had a few good nights of sleep, and one or two rubbish ones. Generally OK on that front, though.
2. Inspiration... hmmm, still not quite there yet, but I'll keep working on it.
3. Time off work - hopefully will look at the diary in the next few days and see if I can take some time off before November's out.
4. Motivation... well, that's another work in progress, I reckon. Seems to be improving a little, though.
5. Don't actually think I can create more evenings in a week after all... I've realised the problem isn't so much about not having enough free evenings, as it is about having some evenings free and others where I have to choose between four different options of things I could do, all of which I'd love to do and if only some of them were on a free evening instead...
6. The courage is building. Lately I've noticed (as have a few other people) that I seem to be growing in confidence, and I'm less nervous and shy than I used to be. Hopefully when I need the courage, it'll be there.
7. Confirmation from God - still hasn't really come. I'm feeling kind of reassured, but not like I know for definite what God's saying. But in a funny way, I think that might just be God pushing me to take a risk and rely on Him, rather than just go, "well, I'm just going to sit here and not do anything until the Lord gives me a sign like turning this bowl of rice pudding into the Mona Lisa". Another "watch this space" job.
8. Certain people have been around, and have been greatly appreciated.
9. Other certain people have also been around, but in general have been far more tolerable (and, in all honesty, far nicer) than I expected.
10. I had chips the night after that post. They were very nice.

So, all in all, things aren't perfect, but they're a long way from terrible. And God's definitely doing stuff, which is always good.
